Ah, bagels…the carbohydrate- and calorie-laden staple of the nineties, whether slathered with cream cheese or topped with salmon and tomatoes and onion and yeah, still cream cheese, we all have eaten our share of this bready treat. Well, in 2008 I don’t want a bagel every day anymore, but i still want one sometimes! We tried two brands this spring, and one outshone the other like a spotlight outshines a flashlight with a low battery (don’t they all have a low battery? Always?) So I am thrilled to recommend Kinnikinnick’s Gluten Free Bagels! TaDah!!!! The kids like them, too. We enjoyed ours with real butter and a locally made blueberry preserves.
I found these at our health food store. About $4.50 for a pack of 4.
